30 days of ASOIAF- funniest moment: Irri and Jhiqui arguing about Rahkaro

“You are too skinny for him, ” Jhiqui was saying. “You are almost a boy. Rakharo does not bed with boys. This is known.” Irri bristled back. “It is known that you are almost a cow. Rakharo does not bed with cows.”

Ned’s hands are bound when he speaks his last words to her.

“Perhaps it is you who should hold the sword,” he says.

His eyes do not leave hers until they pull him away and make him kneel.

The crowd roars when the blade comes down.

Cersei blinks. [x]

Anonymous asked: cersei lannister

vague ASOIAF spoilers~
  • Why I like them: LENA HEADEY, ahem, she’s playing the Game of Thrones EXACTLY like the dudes, but with NONE of the privileges of their gender, she does not YIELD. She’s also had some amazing ideas (excuse you, Tyrion, wildfire was Cersei’s idea, why can’t you kids work together instead of stealing and sabotaging?) that were they put into practice and not SABOTAGED fuck you, spoiler character from the epilogue of ADWD  might have actually improved Westeros. Plus the shit she put up with Robert, only for her kids, that’s amazing to me. She and Tyrion are Tywinn’s progeny and he’s TOO STUPID to realize it, because they’re not a dude!bro like Jaime.
  • Why I don’t: She does some jacked up stuff in AFFC, not gonna lie. I adore her as a character, but no way in hell would I want to hang out.
  • Favorite episode/scene: AHG ALL OF THEM THIS SEASON. LENA HEADY YOUR FACE (overly fond of the one with her and Littlefinger though, power is power, yeaaah). From the books? IDK, I’d have to say how she handled her stuff in ADWD was pretty epic. I would have liked her POV pre-AFFC (same time as Jaime) so we could have gotten more of her before she tripped down the insane ladder.
  • Favorite line: “When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die. There is no middle ground.”
  • Favorite outfit: The blue outfit she’s been rocking this season is probably my fav, but I’ve had no objections to any to them.
  • OTP: Jaime/Cersei
  • Non-romantic OTP: Cersei/her kids
  • Headcanon: Cersei doesn’t love Jaime as much as he loves her, but she loves Jaime more than she loves anyone else (romantically at least). Jaime couldn’t live with another, but Cersei would have been able to adapt to a happy life with a husband who treated her well, especially one who respected her enough to share her council.
  • Unpopular opinion: I LOVE HER and I don’t think she’s a villian. This series doesn’t have many villains and usually they are MONSTROUS gang rapers and torture artists. She’s just another of the jacked up humans that is running around Westeros. Also her vagina is not responsible for Bran being pushed out a window.
  • A wish for them: She gets to run Casterly rock and LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER. Or she and Jaime go out together in a golden BLAZE OF GLORY. Rly I just want her to have the chance for the same kind of thoughtful eye-opening arc that Jaime had.
  • An oh-god-please-don’t-ever-happen for them: The prophecy coming true. Because. No.
  • 5 words to best describe them: Lioness, Fierce, Sharp, Proud, Cunning
  • My nickname for them: GOLDEN QUEEN, THE TRUE LANNISTER HEIR, LIONHEARTED LOVE OF MY LIIIIIIIFE

squintyoureyes asked: Brienne of TARF

VAGUE ASOIAF SPOILERS
  • Why I like them: She’s the only honorable Knight in the entire damn series. Hell she’s the only real, true Knight in the series. I honestly did not get bored of chapter after chapter of her Knighting across country asking after Sansa. That shit was fascinating and I’d take ten million more chapters rather than another one with some rapist Greyjoy dickwad trying to paint himself as the hero not referring to Theon, btw. Also her reasons for loving Renly BROKE MY HEART.
  • Why I don’t: Iiiiiii don’t know. I think it’ll depend on how the rest of her arc plays out at this point, because the things I might not like are mostly just IF THIS HAPPENS at this point.
  • Favorite episode/scene: Swearing fealty to Catelyn, gave me all the feels~
  • Favorite line: “Winter will never come for the likes of us. Should we die in battle, they will surely sing of us, and it’s always summer in the songs. In the songs all knights are gallant, all maids are beautiful, and the sun is always shining.”
  • Favorite outfit: Armor
  • OTP: Prolly only Jaime/Brienne IF ANYTHING
  • Non-romantic OTP: Jaime/Brienne, Catelyn/Brienne
  • Headcanon: She wasn’t really in love with Renly, she just was so starved for that kind of kindness that she felt all at once that her was true and noble and swore that she would protect that in the world
  • Unpopular opinion: once again, only hang with the cool people, though I haven’t seen a ton of Brienne hate even from the jerkasses of ASOIAF fandom
  • A wish for them: much like everyone I care for, A HAPPY ENDING PLEASE GOD
  • An oh-god-please-don’t-ever-happen for them: I WILL JINX NOTHING INTO EXISTENCE TYVM
  • 5 words to best describe them: Honorable, True, Loyal, Pure, Real
  • My nickname for them: Jaime’s Honor, HAH

Renly Baratheon had been more than a king to her. She had loved him since first he came to Tarth on his leisurely lord’s progress, to mark his coming of age. Her father welcomed him with a feast and commanded her to attend; elsewise she would have hidden in her room like some wounded beast. She had been no older than Sansa, more afraid of sniggers than of swords. They will know about the rose, she told Lord Selwyn, they will laugh at me. But the Evenstar would not relent.

And Renly Baratheon had shown her every courtesy, as if she were a proper maid, and pretty. He even danced with her, and in his arms she’d felt graceful, and her feet had floated across the floor. Later others begged a dance with her, because of his example. From that day forth, she wanted only to be close to Lord Renly, to serve him and protect him. But in the end she failed him.

Arya Stark, fierce little she-wolf of my heart

So JENN asked for some Arya meta because she was lacking, which is CRAZY and kind of awesome at the same time, because I’ve seen Sansa and Catelyn and Cersei meta of all sorts and those are the ladies that usually need defending and Arya’s the favorite off the bat, but lately I’ve seen sort of this spurn against her from people that love Cersei and Sansa and Catelyn.

Which, lbr, YOU’RE DOING IT WRONG. Though, as to say, I’m biased as all hell, because as is the case with most fandoms if I don’t love everyone in this bar the second you say you hate them I will go WAIT I LOVE THEM LET ME EXAMINE THEM MORE CLOSELY AND LOVE THEM MORE OH WAIT IT’S STANNING STATUS.

But anyway.

ARYA STARK. SPOILERS, YO. Up to ADWD.

yes good

You can call it a feminist piece, UNTIL you realize that really, the women are the ones who fuck EVERYTHING up.

Because Robert certainly didn’t fuck things up by starting a war for a woman he was obsessed with; he didn’t do anything by abusing his wife for years. Aerys certainly didn’t fuck anything up by killing and torturing people. Rhaegar didn’t fuck anything up by slighting Elia, running off with Lyanna and leaving his children and wife in King’s Landing with his mad father basically unprotected. Ned certainly didn’t fuck anything up by keeping secrets from his wife, bringing home a bastard, not telling Jon about his mother, going off to King’s Landing, trusting Littlefinger, not getting his daughters out of King’s Landing before trusting Cersei. Robb, well Robb was valiant and heroic—he didn’t fuck things up by not bending the knee, storming people’s castles, by breaking his promise to the Freys, breaking his promise to his mother. Jorah? Jorah didn’t fuck things up by informing on his charge—I mean it’s not like whatever he told the people who were paying him got assassins sent after Dany or anything. It’s not like Littlefinger’s scheming launched Westeros into war (or like he wanted that outcoming…he was just scheming because he was bored)!

Do you need me to continue? Because I can.

Perfect response.
